Database operations

ProcureIQ uses Postgres as the main transactional database, with Redis and Mongo supporting specialized workloads.

Postgres guidance​

  • run migrations in controlled order
  • validate schema changes against clean environments
  • keep Prisma schema and SQL migrations aligned
  • monitor connection usage and slow queries

pgvector​

The knowledgebase semantic search path depends on the vector extension and related indexes. Ensure pgvector-capable Postgres images are used in development and production.
